Burton Food Cupboard

Due to the COVID-19 virus the food cupboard procedures have changed.

During our posted hours, food will only be provided by curbside pick-up.

We'll be closed for Thanksgiving, November 24-26, Christmas Eve, December 24, and New Years Eve December 31.

To receive assistance please bring a driver license or photo ID and a piece of mail with your name and address — if not indicated on the photo ID (Geauga County residences only). If you are new to the food cupboard we need names and birthdates of other members in the household. You can download the food pantry eligibility form and fill it out to give to our volunteers when you first drive in. This will expedite your food request but is not necessary for service.

To continue to provide our clients with a food choice, we provide a food request form to fill out. To further expedite your food request you can download this form, fill it out, and present it to our volunteers when you drive in.

We are here to help. If you need special assistance to obtain food or if you have questions about the above items please reach out to us at foodcupboard.bcc@gmail.com.

If you are interested in volunteering during this emergency time period we need volunteers willing to commit to at least one day a week on a regular basis so that we minimize the number of volunteers working at any given time. If you are interested or know anyone who might be, please contact Ann Siewert at 440.759.9815 or siewert@windstream.net.

Food Cupboard Report

Congratulation Gene Brun, who was honored by the East Geauga Kiwanis. Gene was given the "Big Heart Award", for his many years of service to the community. Most recently, he is in charge of our Burton Food Cupboard. Gene puts countless hours into making this important service a success.

He is pictured left, with his wife, Deb, who works with Gene keeping the food cupboard going. Thank you Gene and Deb, and all our food pantry volunteers!

Thank you!

Thank you to the Junction Auto Family and Greater Cleveland Food Bank for helping us to secure a new van.

This van will help us to transport food to many people in need in Geauga County.
